I know Whom I have believed
and am
He is able to guard
what has been
entrusted to me
until that day.
2 Timothy 1

I’m Melodye. Yep, with an E. Most just call me Mel.

After a graced life of 12 years in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota, I now reside in the glorious sunshine and salt of central Florida. As a ministry wife and mama (4 birthed kids +4 by marriage and a plethora of foster kids), a grandma of 7, a daughter, a sister, a friend and a bible study leader, my hope is that my blog would be place for encouragement, for challenge and for hope. These pages are a little taste of my varied (sometimes rambling, but very real) day-to-day ponderings. To get some insight into who I am and how I became “me”, a blog series I did when I turned 50 may shed some light on it. 50 Shades of Grace

Simply put though: I owed a debt I could not pay. Christ paid a debt that He did not owe. I realized I needed Someone to wash my sins away! Now I sing a brand new song, “Amazing Grace”, all life long because Christ Jesus paid the debt that I could never pay.
And every good thing I
have, any good thing I do, and the only good in me is because of the grace given to me by God who loved me and gave Himself for me.
